Make-up Tutorial: Dramatic Bigger Eyes

I'm back again with a make-up tutorial. I just thought of this randomly. I supposed to make a tutorial of transforming your small eyes to bigger eyes using bright eye shadows but heck, I ended up playing with my dark eye shadows that it turned out dramatic. Lols!

Dramatic Bigger Eyes
I intentionally leave my other eye undone to see how big the difference it made.

To get us started, you just need a nude color and a very dark eye shadow.

Step #1. Prep your face.
I opted to apply my daily moisturizer (Myra-E with SPF 15). After the moisturizer is fully-absorb by the skin, I pumped a little amount of the BB Cream (Etude House in Refreshing) and I applied it onto face using my slanted foundation brush. I set my foundation with my favorite oil control powder (Palladium Rice Powder in Natural).

Step #2. Eyes - Base color
First, I apply my eye shadow base (NYX e/s base in Skintone) all over my lid and onto my lower lash line. Using my fluffy eye shadow brush, I applied a nude color (NYX single e/s in Highlight) all over my lid up to the brow bone.

Step #3. Eye lining
Using eye liner brush, I load a black matte eye shadow (Ever Bilena in Cleo) and lined my upper lash line. Starting a thick line from the outer going thinly inwards. I winged it a bit in the outer for a nice lift of the eyes.

Step #4. Crease
Using a bullet brush, I load it up with a dark brown eye shadow. I pointed the brush just below my brow bone or where your eye socket's higher depth, then I poked the brush in and I slowly glided the brush onto my eye socket moving inward and outward like a wiper. Take your eye blending brush and blend away the harsh edges. It will make a nice depth like you have a crease.

Step #5. Highlight
Using the fluffy eye shadow brush, I load it with white shimmering shadow (NYX  single e/s in White Pearl), and applied it in my middle eye lid, in the brow bone and in the inner corner of the eyes.

Step #6. Darken the shadow
(1) I load my bullet brush with black matte eye shadow (Ever Bilena in Cleo) and I darken my outer-V and the created crease earlier. Then, (2) using an eye liner brush, I also load it with the same black matte eye shadow starting thickly from the outer going inward up to inner 3rd only. 

Step #7. Finish the eyes
I lined my lower water line with a black eye pencil. I stroked a white eyeliner (ELF in white pearl) onto the inner corners of my eyes. For the eye brows, I used my IN2IT eye brow kit using my slanted eye brow brush.

Step #10. For the cheeks, I used my NYX Blush in Spice.
Step #11. For the lips, I used my NYX Megashine lip gloss in Beige.


This eye make-up is wearable in daytime, too. You just have to choose a not so dark shade like brown shade. I used black and darker brown in this tutorial to show the transformation of my bare eyes.

Tutorial: Polished Eye Brows

In getting my make-up done, one of the things that I spent a lot of time with...
 is when I fix my eye brows. 
My eyebrows are naturally thick. My eye brows' fiber is thick, long and black. I regularly pluck my eyebrows and guess... I always trim it. Yes, I used a small scissor (intended for eye brow) in trimming to make my eye brows look softer. If my eye brows are trimmed, I can fill-in the eye brow powder so easy and a lighter brow color will appear.

I know you might ask why I need to trim it if I will fill-in a brow powder in it to make it look thicker... again? Non-sense eh? Well, my purpose is to have a thicker brows but POLISHED.

Today I'm going to show you how I make my eyebrows to look polished.
Excuse my bare face and bushy eye brow.

Step #1. Using a spoolie brush, I brushed it onto my eyebrows to clean any primer and powders that had stick on the hair fibers.

Step #2. I used IN2IT eyebrow kit. I dip my eyebrow brush into water then I pick the color brown. I fill the color in half of my eye brow starting in my natural arch outwards. Always remember, FOLLOW your natural arch.

Step #3. Still using the remaining product in the eye brow brush, [1] draw a soft line in the upper and lower brow, then [2] fill-in the inside. The inner brows should look lighter and the arch up to the tail should be darker.

Step #4. Check if your eyebrows are almost identically done. Brush the spoolie in your inner third of your brows for natural looking brows.
And you're done!


By the way, choose a shade of brow powder that is 2 times lighter than your hair. Also I am not fond of using brow pencils. It just makes my brows muddy.

Tutorial: Simple Everyday Make-Up

I posted the other day the ways on how I wore my basic white top and I came up with a simple make-up also to match with my outfit. Today, I am going to share with you the make-up tutorial on how I came up with this look. I actually just used two (2) color of eye shadows (a lighter shade and a dark shade) in this tutorial to justify the post title about a simple make-up.
A Simple Make-Up

Here are some products I've used in achieving this look. 

The step-by-step instructions:
Step #1. I skip with the moisturizer because I used my Etude House BB Cream in Refreshing. I squeezed out from the tube a small amount only and using my slanted foundation brush, I applied it evenly onto my face.

Step #2. I set my BB Cream by applying my IN2IT two-way foundation over it using my powder brush.

Step #3. Eyelids!
Apply the similar eye shadow color you have (it's like a mix of green & gray) using any small eye brush from the outer to the inner 3rds of your lower lash line.

Step #4. Crease!
Apply also any very dark brown eye shadow you have (provided it is matte) using a bullet brush from the outer to the inner 3rds of your lower lash line.

Step #5. Blend! Blend! Blend!

Step #6. Brow bone!

Step #7. Eye brows!

Step #8. Lash line!

Step #9. Contour!
Then, bring it up by stroking at the sides of your face to create shadow that will give an illusion of slim face.. I also contoured my nose using a big eye shadow brush. Do not forget your jaw line also. To make it more natural, I stroke the remaining product in the brush lightly on my cheeks.

Step #10. Blush!

Step #11. I applied a very small amount of champagne eye shadow mixed with a Stila in Moonlight eye shadow onto the corner of my eyes to make my eyes pop more and to make my face look even brighter. 

Step #12. Curl your lashes and apply your favorite mascara. I used Maybelline Volum Express.

Step #13. Lips!

And you're done! Here are some bonus photos before I get my hair curled and get ready for the photo shoot with my hubby.

This make-up is perfect for an everyday wear to work. Skip the contouring and bronzing steps, I really find this make-up look just so quick and easy to do. Talk about NARCISSISM, I hope I didn't get you bored with all my faces.

NEW BEAUTY FIND: IN2IT "BALLOON BRUSH" MASCARA

I know, it's been a long time already since my last post. Blame it all to the work and the busy schedules. I still have a hang-over of the long-weekend vacation, so I have the reason to write now. By the way, how's your Holy Week? Did you go out of town or just stayed home with your family and observe the holy week? If you will ask about me, well, I spent it with my family from out of towns and observance of holy week back to the Metro.

I would consider that this is the busiest month for me for this year because aside from work, my brother who is an OFW from KSA have arrived this April and is now having a three (3) months vacation and also my B's cousin and his family did a short vacation here in Manila from the U.S. We brought them to the attractions they wanted to see and everything turned out fine. 

I have many stories to tell but let me first share to you my new beauty finds from SM Beauty Department. I still have my Maybelline mascara but I really cannot resist not to buy this cute "balloon brush" mascara from IN2IT. It's so cute that really fits in my kikay kit and which I can tote around anywhere I go. 
 
Isn't it so cute? The packaging, the color, the size? Hays.. I love it!

Yup! It's a balloon brush. The spikes are so soft and it coats each lash separately resulting to have an extra-length looking lashes. This is like their fibre mascara that I have tried on before that gives extra length to my lashes but the downside of that fibre mascara was it dried up immediately. I don't know with this balloon brush mascara how long will it last before it dries up. We will see then.

That spikes are made of rubber so that's why it's so soft. No worries if you accidentally poke your eyes hehehe. 


 
Yey! The price tag is just right with the size of this tube.

I've already used this balloon mascara for awhile now and I would say I saved time in putting on my make-up because when I'm in a hurry, I just curled my lashes and get out of the house and I do put on this mascara inside the car. The wand is so handy and I can manage to control it in my hands even the car is moving. That cute balloon brush is really a wander because even at the very peak of the traffic in EDSA where  hubby always hit the brake most of the times; it didn't messed up when it applies.

Hello Beauties!

Since the day I started using eye glasses, I got inspired to do eye make-up that will suit my new look. I'm concentrating on my eyes, of course. I used my latest "babies" - Elianto Colour Studio and Etude House to experiment my new eye looks. I'm so happy with how the Etude House eye shadow does its job. I was disappointed for Elianto but no big deal though. So, here are some photos that I want to share with you guys. These are the ones that been keeping me busy nowadays lols!

Face of The Day: Gorgeous Green Holiday Make-Up with NYX

Hello again! It's Monday, our car is color-coded so I have the reason to just stay at home and play with my make-ups again. I'm back with a new FOTD for you beauties. I have a new gorgeous make-up tut for you that are perfect for meeting with your loved ones, relatives and your family in celebrating your Christmas. The FOTD I made is all about green colors inspired by my Christmas Tree lols! Why not eh? Hehehe...
Gorgeous Green Holiday Make-up
Again, I used my NYX Cosmetics. As I've told you before, NYX colors are great to play with. In this tutorial, I made a shortcut version in posting the step-by-steps instructions but still, I know you can bear with me. So, after preparing my face, lining my eye brows and contouring my nose, I made my tutorial leaving one eye untouched. 

This is to compare how the eye shadows made my eyes stand out. See that?

 Step 1.
Prep your face. Start with a clean face and neck. Moisturize it with Clean & Clear Oil Free Moisturizer. Then, using a sponge, apply the Etude House BB Cream onto face and neck. Final touch of Natural Rice Oil Absorbing Powder in Natural for setting your face.

The photos below are the make-ups that I've used for the rest of my face. I labeled it with numbers so you'll know which corresponding Steps below I've used it.
In this palette, note that I just only used the ES35 and ES3.
In this palette, I only used B3 and B6.

Step 2.
I lined my eye brows with IN2IT eye brow powder labeled as No.1 from the photo below. I picked the darker shade from that duo. Note that I intentionally put a dark eyebrow shade because the camera flash will wash-out your brows if you will put a lighter shade on it but then, you can use a lighter shade for your everyday wear.
I contoured my nose. Well, this is optional. You can leave your nose as is if you're blessed with high nose bridge hehehe. I used the bronzer labeled B4 for contouring.

Step 3.
Prime your eyes for a more vibrant color and long lasting eye shadow. I used NYX Eye shadow base in Skin tone labeled as No.2. Apply it to your entire lids up to the brow bone. Also apply thinly in the lower lash line.

Step 4.
Apply the NYX Jumbo Pencil in Slate labeled as No.3 onto eye lid as your base color. Start from the inner corner of your eyes outward.

Step 5.
Using an eye shadow brush, apply the NYX single eye shadow in Mermaid Green labeled as No.4 onto the eye lid up to the crease area. After that, top it off with ES35 from the NYX Palette using a fluffy eye shadow brush.

Also apply thinly the Mermaid Green (No.4) in the lower lash line starting from the corner of the eyes up to half of the lash line. Then, using the NYX single eye shadow in Highlight labeled as No.6, use the fluffy eye shadow brush to highlight your brow bone sweeping it down to the inner corner of the eyes.

Step 6.
Using the eye blending brush, I used NYX single eye shadow in Exotic Green labeled as No.7 and apply it to the outer-V going up to the middle of the crease area. Then, blend, blend, blend!

Step 7.
Then using the flat eyeliner brush, I picked NYX single eye shadow in Exotic Green labeled as No.7, then apply it thinly to the lower lashline starting from the outer corner of lash line connecting with the Mermaid Green color.

Step 8.
Line your eyes using the IN2IT Liquid eye liner in Black labeled as No. 8. Apply it closely as possible to the upper lash line. Then, after a minutes or just after the liquid eye liner gets dry, top it off with IN2IT Liquid eye liner in Turquoise labeled as No.9. Just follow the line you created with the Black.
Then, tight line your eyes by using IN2IT eye liner in Black labeled as No.10. Apply it in your lower water line. Then, using my finger, I picked a white shimmering eye shadow labeled as ES3 from my NYX Palette and I pat it gently around the corner of my eyes to make my eyes brighter. 

Lastly, for your eyes, curl your lashes and finish it with your favorite Black mascara. I used Maybelline Waterproof mascara labeled as No.11. Don't forget to apply also in your lower eyelashes.
 

So, now you're done with your eyes! Isn't it gorgeous?

Step 9.
Again, this is optional. I love contouring my face to make it look thinner. Using my flat-top bronzer brush, I picked from my palette B6. Apply it starting from the side of your ears downward to the hollow of your cheeks. After that, I picked the B3 and applied it to the apple of my cheeks bringing it up to my highest cheek bones. Then, blend it with the B6. Don't forget your jaw line and your chin.

Step 10.
Lastly, put on your favorite lipstick. I'm using my MAC Intriguing Scarlet: 3 Cool Pinks. I applied the Make Me Melt then I top it off with the lipgloss in Sheer Vision. If you have any Pinkish Brown lipstick, that will do and any sheer lipgloss.
 


... and Voila! 
Now, you're ready to celebrate Christmas with your family and your loved ones. Isn't it Christmas would feel more merry if you're extra beautiful? Hehehe...
