Face Of The Day: Smokey Eye with MAC

Hey yah! How's your weekend? I and hubby are supposed to have a long weekend somewhere in South because Monday is holiday in celebration of the National Heroes Day. But tomorrow would be a very busy Monday for us coz we have clients in line for tomorrow. You know, in nature of our work, the holidays meant to be a working day sometimes but of course, Holy Week, Christmas and New Years Eve is exempted. Oh c'mon, give us some break. Lols!

So, today we just stayed at home and prepared some documentation and contracts for tomorrow's appointment. Hubby did some of the laundry and I spent my time doing my FOTD, lols! FOTD means Face of the Day hehehe. Oh yeah, I did some make-up (I'm still trying hard to be good in doing Smokey eye make-up) and did a little bit of pictorial with my hubby as my poging photographer.


Honestly, I still cannot perfect the blending on my eyes but please bear with me hehehe. I did a Smokey eye make-up using the following:

 Oh, I forgot to include in this photo the Blusher I used (I used Bobbi Brown in Pink Clay) and the Maybelline Eyeliner in Kohl.

The tutorial below is my simple steps in achieving this Smokey eye look yet simple which can also wear during daytime.

Step 1.
Always start with a clean face. I washed my face with Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Facial Wash and applied Clean & Clear Facial Toner for toning my face. Then, I pumped-out an ample amount of BB Cream and spread evenly onto my face and onto neck using my forefinger. The result would be whitish at first but don't worry because after a minute, it will set onto your face like your natural complexion.

Step 2.
After the BB Magic Cream sets onto your face, set it with a powder. I am using a Rice Powder. Ewww... I have an oil-mine kasi eh, lols!

Step 3. 
 I have thick eye brows. I used only a brow powder to soften it.

Step 4.
I applied an Eye shadow Base to make the eye shadow's color very vibrant. Also this base will make the eye shadow stay longer on your lid. Apply it onto your eyelid up to your brow bone.

Step 5.
Using my MAC Quad Eyeshadow, I applied the Garcon Gray onto my eyelid in tapping motion.

Step 6. 


I applied the Seedy Pearl in the middle of my eyelid just to highlight my lid a little bit. 
Then, I applied the Bistro in the outer V moving inward. Then, use a blending brush to soften the hard edges. I tried to have more depth by adding more of Bistro especially the outer V.

 Highlight your eyes. Using NYX in High light eye shadow, applied it in your upper lid up to the brow bone and also in the inner side of your lid.

Step 7.
Define your lash line using a Liquid Eyeliner in Black. Then, curl your lashes and coat it 2-times with mascara always.

If you're doing Smokey eye, applying the dark eye shadows need not to be perfect. Coz you will tone down the hard edges later by using a blending brush. Always remember, blend, blend, blend! Then, you can always soften everything by putting tiny high light in the corner of your eyes and putting a bit in the edge of your brow bone. Tight line your lower lash line using black eyeliner.


Apply this in the corner of the eyes and edge of your brow bone.

Step 8.
Don't forget to put your Blush-on.

Step 9.
Smokey eye is perfect look with a nude lips... So, catch your nude lipsticks now!
(Sorry for those 2 front teeth... ganyan na talaga yan hehe)

NIKE Zoom KOBE M.S. L.A. Lakers

My hubby loves white and black. In buying shoes, he is easily fallen for shoes that are white and black. And for a T-shirt, he would end up most of the times buying the black ones. When we went shopping yesterday, he immediately looked for the shoes that he has been eying at The Fort and luckily, he find it in the Sports Warehouse in Libis (Eastwood). While I was sweeping the whole store for my possible haul, my hubby was also very busy hunting for his new kicks.

He then called me after for me to see him trying on his "crush" shoes. He was torn between his "crush" shoes which is black and the other white but then he opted to get the white one which is ZOOM KOBE M.S L.A. Lakers. It was the last pair of size 10.5, so deciding was much quicker hehehe. I just told hubby that it is just meant for him.

Honestly, I cannot appreciate men's shoes before because it looks like it is a tough stuff for me. It is big, bulky, huge, kind-of-heavy, lols! But understanding your man would lead you also to understand all stuff-y thing-y in him. That's why now, I appreciate men's stuffs already hehehe.

Here's a more detailed look of my man's new kicks, lols!

I find men's shoes like this are more decorated than women's. Why? Sole designs, sewed designs, holes designs... what else? Hehehe. Just kidding! But look at these, hmmm?

Did you notice the numbers 2 & 4? Emphasizing Kobe's number 24 eh.

Front & Back
The heel tab (found at the upper back in the left photo) has an added design which you can hold your shoe using your fingers on it or you can just simply tie down your pair. The toe cap (right photo) is just tough right to protect your toes. I did touch it and it quite hard but hubby said it's not in the inside.

See this? Hehehe. This is the mid-sole.
I told you, lols! 1st photo from top says Nike ZOOM which is letter-ized both left and right outer part of the shoes. 2nd photo from top says - whatever! Hahaha. Really, I don't know the meaning of it as it was written in Braille. Design intended for the blinds for them to identify if its NIKE brand? Hmmm... I find it very considerate. And the 3rd and 4th photo at the bottom just simply says Kobe Bryant 24.

The foxing is different from other colors of the shoes with the same model. This has nice foxing of snake-like skin.

All I can say is... ganda nga talaga nito kaya nagustuhan ni hubby.
Isn't it lovely? Or shall I say beautiful shoes? Hehehe. So, do you agree mas maarte ang shoes ng mga lalaki? Just kidding again. PEACE guys!

I'm Still A KEDS At Heart

 I am still a KEDS at heart, lols!
The moment I saw it, I know it is love at first sight. Oh yeah, I just snagged a new pair of shoes from KEDS. Not just a shoes but a DOLL SHOES hehehe. Yes, I admit. I am acting like a kid sometimes but making myself to look as kid-like; I realized that it would make you feel more great, lols! Is this the effect of getting old-er? Coz now, I'm trying hard to look young-er, lols!

When we're still on our way to Libis (Eastwood), we talk and agreed that we will just do a window shopping and will not buy anything. But here we go again, I and hubby went shopping! I'm such a spender but you know, I believe that I needed a new pair. Seeing KEDS shoes in display made me giggle and..... drool!

A closer look...
I picked the pair that I fell in love with at first sight. I've asked the SA (Sales Assistant) for my size (I'm 8, lols!) and tried the pair. Wow! I feel like my wide feet (paang magsasaka as called by hubby, lols!) was suddenly turned like Cinderella feet. Hahaha! "I will buy this!" I told hubby. He said that it looks cute on me kaya ayun, hindi ko na binitawan. Yey!

I really love my new kicks. The moment I set eyes on it and tried it, there's no second thoughts anymore. I've been wishing I could find one like these for a month now. I wanted a semi-sneakers look with a feminine touch. This pair actually exceeded my likes. Aside from its red color which is love, love, love; its flat sandal style with the embroidered flowers gave it a sweet look.

This style is versatile. I can wear it with my numerous moods. I am now thinking of the outfits that will perfectly match with my new doll shoes. I'm excited to wear this as soon as possible. By the way, hubby bought new kicks, too!

Haul: Get De-Stress with Forever 21.

SimplyJenniya Dictionary
De-stress means Gastos.
Gastos means Satisfaction.
Satisfaction means Happiness.

Hehehe joke only. That is just my own definition, okay?

Honestly, I need help, lols! I need somebody that will teach me to find other way to de-stress. Because every time I want to, I tend to buy stuffs that I thought I need but later I would realize that I don't. I am an impulsive buyer most of the times. I tend to fall for a thing that I don't actually need and ending up thinking when and where could I wear and use those? But you know the feeling of satisfaction? You know, after fitting out the item, paid in the cashier and went out of the shop with a smile makes me really happy because... I'm satisfied. Yey! I got what I want. Haysss... 

I want to change BUT gradually. I might get sick if I'd make it in just one click hehehe (ano yun parang yosi?). Lately, I don't go to shops and malls to avoid the temptations (yes, with "S" talaga hehehe). The last time we went out, I've fitted on a lot of dresses and blouses and shoes but I was able to leave the stuffs in a basket and went out of the shop. Success!

But today was different. Before we headed to SM Supermarket to buy our goods, I dropped at Forever 21 in SM Megamall and find the stuffs I've already tried on last time but it wasn't there anymore. I'm very disappointed. In just 4 days, it's already sold-out. The Sales Assistant told me that the stocks are pretty quick and easy to be sold-out. Oh yeah, she need not to tell me coz I know it. I'm just denial that I lost the chance of actually having those cute stuffs. Then the girl told me that every week, they have new arrivals. I love Forever 21 because it's selling so cheap the fact that those items are imported from the U.S. Again, I will not say anything spectacular here but I would suggest, you  should check-out Forever 21 in SM Megamall if you haven't been to. Their prices are awesome! Their highest price is not more than 2,000php.... how's that? Drool...!

Moving on, I spotted other new items in their racks. So, I tried on some blouses, sleeveless, short shorts and some accessories. Hubby was then my very patient alalay holding the shopping bag for me. By the way, the shopping bag of F21 is huge and a black net. It's cute! After fitting on 11 items (whew!) , I just picked some pastel blues since I am eying to match it with my other must-be-outfits during the day.

From Forver21 din 'to... cute di ba?

Do you know that Forever 21 is also accepting SM Advantage Card? Yeap! That gave me and hubby an idea that this Forever 21 might be owned and franchised by SM. Why not? SM also brought the WATSON'S here, so, it's not possible. Then, the plastic bag is also Yellow. Hmm... Wow! Galing talaga ng SM hehehe, kung true nga. Baka kami lang ni hubby nag-iisip nun.

Anyway, moving on again. I dropped at PeopleArePeople after Forever21 and checked some sale items and look what I got:


Hayss. I fell in love with the design. I've wanted to have this for quite a long time now, so I didn't let the chance passed. My hubby sounds irritated when he asked me: "Gusto mo ba yan?". I said yes. "Bahala ka. Kung kelan tag-ulan na eh." Yeah, he disagrees to buy this but I told him, time will come that i can perfectly wear it, not in rainy days of course. But who knows, maybe next week kalakasan ng ulan eh suot suot ko 'to dahil tinopak ako hehehe.
