I own a Nokia 5800 now. It's a touch phone and I love it. It gives me convenience for typing SMS and making calls just by simply touching menus. I am not that gadget-gaga (it's my hubs believe me) but now, I can consider myself of going gaga over Nokia C3 hehehe. I've been eying this Nokia C3 since it was released in Europe. It's my hubby who told me about it and I find this mobile phone to be worth waiting  and to buy for. According to some forum sites of gadgets, this phone will hit Manila middle of August; it's just an estimate though. But I didn't care whether it will be locally available earlier or later, the thing is, I should have a Nokia C3!

I've seen the dummy phone on Nokia store last weekend and it's really gets me. I so love it and its keeping me excited everyday hehehe! The professional look of this phone made me want it since the time I saw its dummy and eyed it over the internet. But surprisingly, maybe 4 days ago, my hubs told me that it will be in stores at the end of this month. What?!? Yes, the Nokia Philippines announced that it will be locally available in 95 Nokia Stores and selected outlets nationwide on July 31, 2010.

Let's hear it from the Nokia Philippines:

One time, Big time for the Nokia C3

On July 31, 2010 get PhP 1,000 off for every purchase of a Nokia C3 mobile
phone! Get email, chat, Facebook and Twitter in style for as low as
PhP 6,295!

Built for the social networking butterfly in mind, the Nokia C3 offers instant
access to favorite sites straight from the homescreen, allowing people
to easily chat, tweet, follow, unfollow, view entries, post photos, like
statuses, comment on videos, and update their profile’s status. Writing
messages is quick thanks to its full QWERTY keyboard. Plus, email and chat
accounts can be set up straight from the device, without the need for a PC.
With its 2 megapixel camera, the Nokia C3 is awesome for taking pictures
and videos which can be instantly shared online, straight from the device, via
GPRS or Wi-Fi. You can also store up to 8GB of pictures, music and videos
by upgrading to an optional memory card.

The Nokia C3 comes in 3 cool colors -- hot pink, slate grey, and golden
white and will be available at all Nokia Stores and authorized Nokia Solution
Partners nationwide.

So, we were forced to wake up early today. I and hubs went to Cyberzone Megamall (arrived there at 9:30 am though the mall opens at 10 am) and get our reserved Nokia C3. Hubs have called them to reserve the unit two (2) days ago to avail the free 2GB Micro SD card for the first 20 customers. We were 3rd in queue. The 1st and 2nd customer seems to make me and hubs in a long wait hehehe. Finally, I now own a Nokia C3. This is really a steal for today only because tomorrow, it will be priced at P7,295. It is only today that they give P1,000 discount and I am not sure also if there is a Micro SD card included in that price.
 NOKIA Cyberzone Megamall

What's included in the phone kit?
- Unit;
- Charger;
- Head phone; and
- Manual;

Plus, Nokia gives away a 2GB Micro SD Card from Kingston... hmm, pwede na rin (since we're in the list of their first 20 customers) and a SMART Sim pack. But before they gave us the free SD Card, we had the free Sim pack to be used first and we have it loaded of P15.00 only. After we've done it, we came back to Nokia and have been instructed for some choo-choos about Nokia messaging. Anyway, I let my hubs listened with the sales assistant hehehe.

Here are the reasons why I went gaga with this phone:

1st - Because of it professional look;

Slim but so handy...

2nd - You may mistakenly think its E71 at first glance;

 Nokia C3

... and here's the photo comparing it to E71.

Photo credit to GSM Arena.

3rd - I want to try QWERTY keyboard phone;

4th - I really need a nice phone for my other sim (personal number) and easy to tote around with;

5th - Last but not the least, it's so CHEAP for its introductory price!

When we're in the fast-food eating our lunch, I had time to read the brochure we got from Nokia about this Nokia Messaging thing. Honestly, I'm lazy to read about this because I'm already a post-paid subscriber of Globe and I think this thing won't be applicable to me even if it's available in Globe. Or am I just being too busy (or maybe too lazy hehehe) to check what's in store for me, hmmm?

The brochure says:

UNLIMITED & EASY.
Nokia Messaging now allows Nokia C3 mobile users to access Facebook & Twitter!
Plus you can still send emails or chat with friends anytime, anywhere.
Enjoy with SMART Buddy, all easy on the pocket.

Chat & Email are the only services available for other Nokia phones*.

FREE 7-DAY TRIAL! Text NOKIA TRIAL to 6677

My hubs registered to 6677. Hmmm, we just only load P15.00 but we can now enjoy the free 7-days trial, hmm... I'm beginning to like it though we don't really need this kind of trial because at home, we have a WI-FI. Anyway, I've tried browsing my Facebook and checking my Yahoo mails (be noted that you can't browse any sites except those sites and chats mentioned above) but it's very slow. I tried uploading a photo to Facebook taken from my Nokia C3 but it failed every time I try. Well, I think you just get what you paid for (remember, P15.00 load only). Again as I said, this Nokia Messaging UNLIMITED & EASY  will not work for me. I just really don't have the virtue of patience in this thing, it's so slow, believe me hehehe. But I will keep this sim pack. It's still had 6 days of free trial anyway, and might need this in the coming days just in case hehehe. By the way, additional info to this, after the free 7-days trial, you have to reload P20.00 per day to continue the unlimited Nokia Messaging. And for those other Nokia phone users, you can have that service, too, but limited to Chat & Email only. I hope I have said something right, eh. I notice that I'm writing a lot of this service. Hello Smart & Nokia, I'm giving you free ad, lols!

As soon as we arrived home, my hubs tote around with the phone and we discovered a lot about the good things about this phone. It has a great sound. My hubs said it sounds better than his Nokia X6. Hmm... then, well and good hehehe. Then, the applications are lot. I'm so happy to own one.

That's all for now.

Stay tuned.

Before I will make a new nail art for the week, here's my nail art last week. I named it a French Greeny Flower. I named it basic as the basic colors I used to make this nail art hehehe. I can't think creatively. I hope you will learn something again from this tutorial.

French Greeny Flower

To start with, you will need the following or any color for creating the flower.

 from left: Caronia Fast Dry Top Coat, L.A. Colors (French Nails Pink & Pure White), Two-Way Nail Art Pen (dunno what color hehe)

Step 1. Apply the L.A. Colors in French Nails Pink onto nails. Apply two (2) coats.

Step 2. Using the L.A. Colors in Pure White, make a French tip onto nails.

Step 3. Apply colorless polish onto nails and while it's wet (this is a tip I got from Nikki of askmewhats.com), Create five (5) dots using the two-way nail art pen. This will tend the dots go bigger and dissolve onto the colorless polish.

... and quickly, using a needle then feather inwards the dots to create a flower.

Step 4. Voila! You're done with your nail art. Don't forget to apply a top coat.

So, here's your French Greeny Flower.

It's just that simple. Did I bore you again? I hope not hehehe.

Stay tuned.

I went with hubs yesterday to Big Dome and had witnessed the PBA Game 5 between Ginebra GinKings and Alaska Aces. We are a huge fan of Ginebra.

 Taken earlier...

The game went well but the 4th quarter made our hearts: "Thump! Thump!"

And here are the unforgettable seconds last night. Hayyss, I forgot to take photos or a video..

At 00:47:40 seconds, the score was:
Ginebra = 86       Alaska = 90

But all of a sudden, I just heard the Big Dome roared out loud. It was 2 points by Ginebra, hmmm... I can't figure out who did but the 3 points of JH13 (Jayjay Helterbrand) made a very heart thumping moment for everybody inside the big dome. Everybody went crazy. Everybody was roaring like a crazy bull. The Ginebra fans seems uncontrollable from their emotions. Then, a long pause for everybody when the time-out called.

I've seen the fans crossing their fingers, closed their eyes and prayed. You can see in their faces the hope and excitement of the supposedly winning over the game. Me, too, I feel drowned over the crowd's emotions. I haven't notice that I was jumping again and again with joy by JH13's 3 points. It's a Wow!

At 00:28:00 seconds, the score was:
Ginebra = 91      Alaska = 90

Yes, there still 00:28 seconds left but the saying: "Time is Gold" ruled over Alaska. Oh boy! You can't really buy time some times and Alaska made 2 points shot!

At 00:05:00 seconds, the score was:
Ginebra = 91      Alaska = 92

It was actually a no-hope moment but being a Ginebra fan and being known the team for a NEVER SAY DIE attitude, we believed that the team will do everything to win the game. But deep inside I was losing grip that Ginebra couldn't make it anymore. I cannot breathe that time... I feel like having a heart attack, lols!

Then, the remaining seconds run. I could hear my heart: "Thump! Thump! Thump!", and then... time out! There's still a remaining 00:01 seconds but... c'mon, its end of the game. It was really hard to accept that the game ended that way.

The final verdict: Ginebra lost, Alaska won the game.
At 00:01:00 second, the final score was:
Ginebra = 91     Alaska = 93

By the way, Alaska has had still a 1 free throw shot by CB3.

I feel for JH13. Everybody feels for our team especially for JH13. Hey, it's still a nice game though. The spirit of winning the game has been witnessed by 21, 062 crowd attendees. Ginebra GinKings really tried hard to win. But everything happens for a reason. I think, last night's game; we are really bound to get lost. I believe that next time, we are bound to be a champion again and not just a winner.

 21,000 Ginebra fans & 62 fans only for Alaska!

Miss you all guys!

I really refused to remember this game. It hurts. Until now, I'm still watching again and again the last 47 seconds of the game. Hey, we were caught in camera in the last final seconds of the game hehehe. Cheer up guys. It's nice to see again my fellow kabaranggays and sister-ettes hehehe.

Trying to move on. Sniff*

Hi Beauties!

Do you miss me posting my nail arts? Ahaha... I wish I have followers, lols! Anyways, I really miss doing nail arts. After our Boracay getaway, I've had a lot of things that needed to catch up and been doing it for a couple of weeks now. Actually, even today, Sunday, we assisted a client in Makati to do a list of things for move-out. So, we got free this afternoon only and finally, I was able to do nail art again. Phew!

Since my mind and body still can't get over of Boracay (hu hu hu, am going back soon Boracay, lols!), I cannot also think of an art. I browsed askmewhats.com blogs about her nail art tutorials and finally, I decided to recreate/ modify her Minty Chocolate Nail Art since this was the first nail art that my Mom tried on to my nails the time she received my gift. My Mom was so happy and couldn't believed she finally owned one. She's been lemming for it for quite a long time. I like the nail art that my Mom recreated for me and so, now, I recreated it too. I don't know if she (Nikki) still remembers me in case she happen to read this. Hehehe, it's from her where I bought the PrettyNails - set of twelve (12) of two-way nail art pens that I gave as gift to my Mom.  Yes, nagmana ako sa Mom ko sa kakikayan hehehe. I was happy to know that all those polish colors she used, eventually I owned a similar polishes, too. Yay!

Minty Pinky Nails

To start with, you will need the following:

From left: White, Baby Pink, Radiation, Magenta &  Black Sparkles

Step 1.  Start with a clean nails. Apply the L.A. Color Craze in Radiation onto nails. Apply two (2) coats.

Step 2. Make a thin French tip using the L.A. Art Deco in Black Sparkles.

You can either stop here and get this neat French tip design only or...

...go on further.

Step 3. Create five (5) dots using the L.A. Art Deco in Baby Pink, and...

... quickly feather it inward to create a flower. Then, apply three (3) dots to add more beauty.

Step 4. Make a French tip using L.A. Art Deco in White, apply it thinly as you could. This step can also be make right after your Black Sparkles french tip (refers to Step 2).

Step 5. Using L.A. Art Deco in Magenta, put dots to each of the flower you created for a nice bud.

Step 6. Lastly, always finished your work of art with a top coat.
My Minty Pinky Nails, yay!

Hope you enjoy my recreated nail art (thanks Nikki of askmewhats.com) for this very cute design.

Stay tuned beauties.
